Cruising a Fabulous Planet

Assuming you're not homophobic or humorless, go over and visit the Not Safe For Work Fabulon site, where men are men and boys are "house boys," and the ladies are sometimes men, too, but they all seem to be having a good time. And they're funny as, well, heck. They're crazy about hats and shoes and poodles and interior decorating over there. Occasionally, they borrow photos from Starlet Showcase, so they must have good taste. The pictures here are not really representative of the naked dude pictures and high fashion stuff they often show. But it's always a fun place to visit.
(And if you never return, I'll understand.)

It's Nancy Carroll Day!

Nancy Carroll
I used to think that Nancy Carroll was sort of
a discount Clara Bow. Then I saw her with Cary
Grant in Hot Saturday (1932) on the big screen
and realized she was serious actress with a much
greater range than Clara. She was very, very big
during the early talkie era, but few remember her
today. You can learn a lot more about her at
"Babyface" A Tribute to Nancy Carroll
and at the Virtual History site.

Oh Bebe!

Bebe Daniels
So I come across this large picture of Bebe
Daniels, right? And she's a brunette, and
she's got her hair down. And she's wearing
really cute earrings and pearls, okay? And
she's in this really cool dress. Uh-huh. So
what the hell else would I do with it, right?
(It's a starlet emergency!)
