Dark City Dames

So...I'm at a store last week, right? And I come across some used DVDs of Dames (1934) and Dark City (1998). When I was done watching them, I left them on a table next to each other. The next morning, I look down and see the titles "Dark City"..."Dames." Well, that gave me a strange idea. Ergo, this weird little post. If you happened to have missed one or both of these movies, you might want to check them out. Dames is just more Busby Berkeley bizarreness, and that's always fun.

Ellen Parker (no relation) had really short hair and a really short career from about 1956 to 1958. She played Robert Loggia's long-suffering girlfriend in The Lost Missile (1958) and then she played Robert Loggia's deaf-mute girlfriend in Cop Hater (1958). And that's about it. Oh...and she appeared in a 1958 episode of the TV series M Squad, which is where I discovered her yesterday. And that's our raison d'être here.
