June 8th is Dana Wynter's birthday. She was
born in Berlin, and her real name is Dagmar.
But she grew up in England. By the time she came
to Hollywood, we were thinking of her as purely
British. She adds dignity to The List of Adrian
Messenger (1963). She is the conscience of
Shake Hands with the Devil (1959). And she
is the only thing of value in Something of Value
(1957). She did a lot of 1960s television and
married Hollywood lawyer Greg Bautzer.
