For a long time, I couldn't tell Laura Antonelli from
Elsa Martinelli and not just because they both rhyme
with vermicelli.
Laura Antonelli was once a gym teacher and Jean-Paul
Belmondo's girlfriend. She appeared in a slip in the 1966
American International Pictures-Vincent Price epic
comedy Dr. Goldfoot and the Girl Bombs, and she
appeared without a slip in the 1969 sleaze-fest Venus
in Furs (aka Le Malizie di Venere), which is not to be
confused with the 1969 Jesus Franco sleaze-fest
Venus in Furs (aka Paroxismus), although I'm pretty
certain that it would be difficult to make an entertaining
and yet healthy film from the original novel by
Leopold von Sacher-Masoch. In any case, Laura did a
lot of nudity in the 60s and 70s, and there are loads of
those kinds of pictures on the Internet. But she starred
in a movie with Vincent Price and Sixties singing
sensation Fabian, so she deserves a post here at
Starlet Showcase.
