In spite of her quivering Joey Heatherton lips, her Roy Rogers squinty eyes, and her Loretta Young-Irene Dunne worldview, I don't really mind Ann Blyth. Don't miss her as Lenore in the 1948 William Powell movie Mr. Peabody and the Mermaid. She later became a spokesperson for Hostess Cupcakes. Uh-huh. Mmmmmm. . . . .cupcakes!
Ann Blythe remained outrageously good looking for an uncommonly long period. She looked wonderful in movies with Mario Lanza.
ReplyDeleteShe was just incredible in MILDRED PIERCE. Hard to believe she was only 16 years old at the time.
