Glenda Farrell and Her Pre-Code Swagger
I just can't help it.
In spite of the stupid hats, I really like
Glenda Farrell. She had that pre-Code
in-your-face go-pi$$-up-a-rope get-lost
attitude. A real no-nonsense broad.
See her in Three on a Match (1932), I Am a
Fugitive from a Chain Gang (1932), Mystery
of the Wax Museum (1933), Gambling Ship
(1933), and the "Torchy Blane" movies.
Here she blows in Paul Muni's ear and ruins him (and me)
in I Am a Fugitive from a Chain Gang. I think she's swell.
