Chicago-born Arlene Golonka played a lot of ditzy
blondes in films like Penelope (1966), The Busy
Body (1967), and Hang 'Em High (1968). She also
did a ton of television from 1959 to 2005, which is
really a ton. Her most famous gig was playing Millie
Swanson on 34 episodes of Mayberry R.F.D. in the
early 70s. She played a clumsy nurse on M*A*S*H
who falls for Hawkeye but almost destroys the
whole 4077 camp.
The Busy Body (below) with Sid Caesar and Robert Ryan
just came out on DVD this year from Legend Films.
