It's Nancy Carroll Day!

Nancy Carroll
I used to think that Nancy Carroll was sort of
a discount Clara Bow. Then I saw her with Cary
Grant in Hot Saturday (1932) on the big screen
and realized she was serious actress with a much
greater range than Clara. She was very, very big
during the early talkie era, but few remember her
today. You can learn a lot more about her at
"Babyface" A Tribute to Nancy Carroll
and at the Virtual History site.

Hello. I want to thank you for the link to the Nancy Carroll website this past year. I just wanted to let you know that "Babyface" - A Tribute to Nancy Carroll has moved to a new internet address http://www.hollybee.org and has been renamed Child of Manhattan - A tribute to the life and career of actress Nancy Carroll. Thank you.

My parents named me after Nancy Carroll. One of her movies was on T.V. At that time, she was a blond. I must have been around ten years old. It was nice to finally see the lady, I was named after!
