Jailbait Brenda Scott

Brenda Scott
Here is Brenda Scott. She did a lot of TV in the 60s and 70s. According to her biography at the IMDb, she was married to and divorced from actor Andrew Prine three (3!) times. I really can't think of another example of that. In Andrew Prine's IMDb biography, it says they were only married and divorced twice. Yeah. What. Ever.
Below are frames from her appearance in a second season episode of The Fugitive called "The Cage." It might better have been called "Jailbait." Our hero is hiding out in a fishing village, when a 15-year-old girl (Brenda) comes on to him. Somehow he resists her. Probably because it's freaking ILLEGAL. And partly out of good taste. And there's also probably the fact that he's in enough friggin' trouble with the law already. Jeez! Anyway, I looked it up, and Brenda Scott was about 20 at the time she was playing this 15-year-old. Whew! Twenty-year-olds are trouble enough. (Anyway, if Andrew Prine or Brenda are reading this, maybe you two can straighten out this marriage-divorce thing on the IMDb for us.)

I have noticed, by the way, that The Fugitive
tends to leave an awful lot of luggage behind
when he makes his final escapes. And yet he
always somehow managed to find a sports
coat and tie. Weird.

Does anyone know what has become of Brenda Scott? From what I can see,she hasn't been acting for a long time now. Does she have another career? I've enjoyed her appearances on Hawaii five-0 and Ironsides. She would be in her mid 60s now.

Just watched this episdoe of the Fugitive on DVD. The other thing I recall seeing Brenda Scott in was an episode on Leave It To Beaver, where she plays Lori Ann, a girlfriend of Wally. But boy, does she ever have a lot of credits in imdb.

Brenda Scott was my favourite actress when I was a teenager. I wonder where she is now and did she finally marry the right person.

Just saw her in an episode of Hawaii 5-0 with Ed Flanders (from St. Elsewhere). Ed was a psychedelic pushing love guru and Brenda a young nubile seeking the "light". What a stellar babe!

Brenda Scott is my aunt. She did marry the right person, a producer/director named Dean Hargrove. They are very happy and she is still so beautiful! She is now exploring the art of photography.

Anonymous, let her know we're thinking about her.

I just watched her great fire on an episode of The Virginian, I guess if she's married now I better not ask her to marry me, ... sigh.

I wonder if she would update her details on IMDb and maybe post a recent photo for all her fans. It has been a real treat to see her recently on YouTube.

Just saw that 5-0 episode (ironically, she also did a Magnum in a very similar location) and she is indeed very beautiful, a good actress, and a magical smile reminiscent of my favorite actress Judi West. I remember a TV Guide article which lamely said her aunt was silent actress Mae Murray. Glad to hear she is happy. Dean Hargrove, I believe, did Matlock, and several other shows, and wrote great scripts ("Discotheque Affair") for the Man From U.N.C.L.E.

Brenda Scott's aunt was said to be Mae Busch. Brenda did a brilliant role as "Jenney Ray" portraying a spastic girl many, many years ago. That was the first time I had seen her and I have followed her ever since. Hawaii 5-0 was a great episode!

Brenda Scott was truly one of the most naturally beautiful actresses ever on TV and a damn good one. When she was on screen, I could never take my eyes off her and when she wasn't; I was waiting for her to get back on screen. Recently saw a couple of her old roles and had to look her up. So glad that I had a chance to sound out. I am happy that she found lasting love at last. God bless her wherever she is.

Always remember her as Jean Shipley on Dragnet 1968.She got stoned out of her head, and let her baby drown, but hey, nobody is perfect.

I recently saw Ms. Scott on Dragnet also. The show is so dialogue-heavy it's hard to act much on it, but her reaction to her baby's death was superb. I can't decide if she looks hotter with short or long hair!

There's a better bio on a site called Glamour Girls of the Silver Screen. There's also a site, "Brenda Scott Photography" but there's no content in the bio showing it's the same person.

I also would like an updated photo on IMDB, and think it's nice she found the right person. Shouldn't we all!

Just caught the H5O appearance the other day. Holy smokes I can't believe I almost forgot how acheingly gorgeous she is. What I wouldn't give to have been there when they shot that episode.

A few minutes ago I saw Brenda Scott on a Gunsmoke episode on Encore--about not being able to kill a marshall. Later I checked and found out Brenda is fairly young--born on March 15, 1943. I also notice that Ms. Scott acted in some outstanding shows in addition to Gunsmoke, such as The Fugitive, The Virginian, and many others. Now, I ask a rhetorical and somewhat impertinent question--Where were you when I was or at least thought I was ready to get married. I found it quite interesting that Ms. Scott married the same man three times. These things happen, of course. To me, this indicates the presence of that spark of true and lasting love that is needed in a successful marriage. In any case, I do thank God for shows such as Gunsmoke, The Virginian and so many others--which, for the most part--have no competitive shows today with respect to quality and story lines. Today, it's either violence, special effects, and/or
course language, excessive use of promiscuity and more, and an over and I mean overabundance of police-type and forensic shows--along with lots and lots of low-budget, mediocre, non-entertaining reality programs. I mean the History Channel shows pawn shops and swamp fishers--the real history is shown at about 2:00 A.M., the Geographic Channel shows border patrol and prison conditions and so on.
Thus I sincerely thank those writers, many of whom are no longer with us, all the great actors and actresses such as James Arness, Peter Graves, and Brenda Scott--and the many others needed to finally deliver the quality shows that were before the cable shows. Thank you so very, very much, Brenda Scott. with regard to the number of tv channels, it is a fact that quantity does not make for quality--but has a whole lot, and I mean a whole lot of repeats, but then a season now is 4 to 6 weeks--not 39 weeks.

Caught this lovely, lovely lady on Bonanza today - OMG, my heart nearly leapt out of my chest. Too bad I was only three years old when she did that episode. Actually, she looks just like a girl I knew in high school who was three years younger than me. Years later I found out that my father and her mother were each other's prom dates back in the early 50's. Anyway, Brenda, I'm your latest major fan. BIG KISS, m'lady!

Just finished watching a movie called "This Savage Land" which Brenda Scott played Margaret'Midge'Pride.I think she is one of the most beautiful woman I have ever seen.So I immediately looked her up.It says the movie was made in 1969,seven years before I was even born.I will definitely watch all of her movies and tv shows now.I think the older shows have a beauty to them that current tv is lacking.

My god this woman is beautiful! Just discovered her on episode of Leave it to Beaver. Anyone have a recent photo of her?
