Hitchcock Looks Down #5 (5 of 5)

Hitchcock
If you've been wondering where all these Hitchcock vidcaps have been coming from lately, well, they're from a marvelous page called 1000 Frames of Hitchcock at the Alfred Hitchcock Wiki. There are a thousand video captures from each of the Master's 52 films. "The aim of the project," they say, "is to create a library of images which can be used to illustrate blog posts, web articles and reviews, etc." It's a fun place to visit.

The one from Mr. and Mrs. Smith is just grand. And Frenzy-- yikes!

I wonder... Was Hitchcock a foot fetishist too, like Tarantino?

I think it was actually shoes that he was crazy about. When someone complained about the time it was taking to film Grace Kelly's shoes in Rear Window, he is supposed to have said, "Haven't you ever heard of a shoe fetish?" Tarantino, like Cecil B. DeMille, has a thing about feet.
