I watched Mad Love (1935) again last night. In spite of her weird painted-on eyebrows, I can see why Peter Lorre's psycho-perv mad-doctor character might develop a decidedly unhealthy obsession with Frances Drake. It was his first American film.

Mad Love is one of my favorite movies! Beautiful torture vs. voyeurism! But there will aaaalwaays be a lady with a parrot.
